All members please ensure you read the current newsletter. Click Here

In this edition of the newsletter, you will find application forms and notices for the AGM which is the annual general meeting where you, the members vote for the committee to run the club & also to make changes to the constitution if any motions are submitted. As most of you are aware, most of the current committee members have been on the committee for many years & we now feel a need for some new people to continue the management of the club. A process like this is called “succession plan” or a transition phase & we feel it is a good time to bring it to your attention.

St Marys Soccer Club would like to thank Ray Dunn & his son Lachlan Dunn (U 11 team)) for their great contribution to St Marys Soccer Club.

During the heavy & constant recent rain we experienced, the St Marys Soccer Club fields were under water for several days & restricted the teams from training & week-end games were cancelled & the council were unable to cut the grass which left the fields un playable. We were very close to having to close the fields one more week because of the condition of the field not being suitable to play on with damp ground, tall grass & no lines visible, but a very kind club member who has been with the club for the past 5 years offered his lawn mowing services and equipment helping the club by cutting the grass. Sure thing, Ray, his wife & Elisha & their son Lachlan turned up on Thursday & between them mowed the 3 fields with their light ride on mower. They spent more than half a day doing the job.

Ray & Elisha ensured that the fields were suitable for the week-end games & ensuring that all the club members enjoyed getting back onto the fields to play their games.  Ray & Elisha showed the family spirit of St Marys Soccer Club & the enthusiasm & care for their beloved club.

On behalf of St Marys Soccer Club, I would like to thank Ray, Elisha & their children for their contribution to St Marys Soccer Club.
