SMSC - Grand Final Results.
We had 5 teams competing over the weekend, with 3 teams winning their matches - U14/2, U15/2 and AM/1 - congratulations.
To the U12/5 team, you should be very proud of your effort to make your first grand final. We hope you bounce back bigger and better next year. And to the Over 45 team, it was always going to be a very tough game against an outstanding Jamisontown team - well done.
Junior Presentation Day - Saturday September 13.
To everyone who attended the Junior Presentation day on Saturday, we hope you had a great day. The weather was kind, and all the players appeared to have a great time on the rides. Last year we were caught out with many players sitting in the sun. We listened, and everyone appreciated the big marquee where all players were seated in the shade during the presentation. With a lot more junior teams this year, it did take longer than expected - we will look at ways to improve this next year.
Thank you for being part of our club this year - we hope to see you back in 2015.
Life Is Not All About Soccer
One of our St Marys junior Taylan Ozhan who plays for our U12's had the opportunity to represent Australia at the NZ Taekwondo Open. Successfully won his first International fight 11-4. He has also represented NSW at The Taekwondo Nationals in Brisbane coming third in the Australia for his age and weight division. We are happy to acknowledge his achievements as one of our soccer players.
